Episode 1 – City Under Siege: International military missions by special-operations forces are spotlighted in this series, which begins with the response to the November 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India, where 10 Pakistani men conducted coordinated assaults around the city that killed scores of people over a 60-hour period.
Episode 2 – Night of Terror: A look at the response by Russian forces to the October 2002 tragedy that occurred when Chechen rebels stormed a Moscow theater and held hundreds of people hostage for nearly three days
Episode 3 – Taking Down bin Laden: A look at Operation Neptune Spear, the Navy SEAL mission that resulted in the death of Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in May 2011.
Episode 4 – Assault on al-Qaeda: A look at the hunt for Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the Jordanian-born Al Qaeda in Iraq leader who was killed in June 2006 during a bombing raid in Iraq.
Episode 5 – Operation Thunderbolt: A look at a July 4, 1976, assault by Israeli commandos on an airport in Entebbe, Uganda, to rescue more than 100 hostages taken by hijackers from an Air France flight bound for Paris
Episode 6 – Operation Certain Death: A look at a British special-forces operation in September 2000 to rescue a group of Royal Irish Rangers, who were captured during civil war in Sierra Leone by a gang of rebels known as the West Side Boys.
